Today after a relaxed morning of cooked breakfasts and reading we headed down to the beach.
We was armed with a picnic, bucket, spade and a net to go rock pooling.
The Daisy really enjoyed rock pooling last year so we got her some spotters cards to use this time round.
We all had a paddle in the sea, The daisy wrote in the sand with her spade. For a child who avoids writing (would rather draw) it was lovely to see her use her own initiative.
Rock pooling has a hit, Rainbow mama caught a baby crab and the Daisy got lots of shrimps. She enjoyed investigating them and referencing them to her cards.
We have also collected some shells whilst there and bought them back so the Daisy can explore some more.
